A day in the life of a Zip NOLA tour guide would consist of: First, showing up on time, eager and ready to work. A zip around the course in the morning to inspect the course, followed by a visual inspection of the gear and facility. Once guests begin to arrive, guides will greet them and begin fitting them with their protective equipment (helmets, harnesses, etc…). After fitting and an educational monologue, guides will take the riders through the course, engaging in talking points and friendly discussions. Zip NOLA isn’t just a swamp tour or a zipline, it is a good mixture of both. Guests should feel as though they have received not only a thrill, but an education as well!
All guides will be trained to ACCT (Association of Challenge Course Technology) Standards, and given plenty of education on the local area, history, folklore, plants, and wildlife.
Requirements
- 18 or older (preferred)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
- Must be able to complete 10-12 hour work days (during peak season)
