No, but reservations are highly recommended! Because of the overwhelming popularity of these tours, we do sell out daily. Walk ins are welcome, but we cannot guarantee that there will be availability.

Is there an age limit?

There is no age limit, but there is a weight limit of 45 lbs. With that being said, younger children will have to be able to handle the physicality of walking up stairs themselves as well as being comfortable zipping by themselves.

What is the best time of day for a zipline tour of the New Orleans swamps?

This question is very dependent upon the time of year. Though no time is a bad time, our favorite tours during the summer months are the morning and evening tours (cooler). Depending on the time of year, our evening tours range from 2:00-6:00 depending on seasonal sunlight. As the weather begins to cool, the midday tours are preferred.

When is the best time of year for a zipline tour of the New Orleans swamps?

There is no bad time to go! Each of our seasons provides a unique experience. Though alligators are cold blooded and tend to be harder to find in extreme temperatures, New Orleans is known for mild winters and gators can often be seen basking.  During the Spring and summer months, the swamp is flush with greenery and flowering plants. Wildlife is abundant during all months but can sometimes be easier to locate during the winter months as less leaf cover and foliage allows for easier spotting.

Are there restrictions on who can ride the zipline?

Riders are required to be between 45-280 lbs. This is due to physical requirements of the zipline itself. Though we wish we could accommodate everyone, physics makes this an impossibility!

Nobody can ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

What should I wear?

We recommend casual attire. Closed toe shoes are required. YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RIDE WITH SANDALS, CHACOS, CROCS, or 5 FINGERED SHOES. Please check the weather conditions prior to your tour to ensure you are dressed properly. Backpacks or drawstring bags are permitted and encouraged to carry along personal items not left behind in lockers.

Are mosquitoes a problem?

Nope! Mosquitoes are rarely encountered during our zipline swamp tours. Predacious insects such as dragonflies do a masterful job of controlling the numbers, especially during daylight hours. Mosquitoes are generally only encountered during dawn and dusk hours.

Can we tip our guide?

Yes! If you enjoyed your ride, please tip your guide! Our guides rely on the generosity of our riders to supplement their income, so if you’ve enjoyed yourself please feel free to tip them!

Do you offer hotel pickup?

Yes! We offer round trip transportation from downtown New Orleans! As you complete your order you will be prompted to specify whether or not you will require transportation. If you do please answer yes and one of our transportation agents will coordinate your pickup. Transporting begins approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time. We do request guests with transportation be waiting outside their pickup location as we do have a short window.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes! All riders are required to sign a waiver prior to entering the course.

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer 20% discount to national heroes! This includes any military (active or veteran with proper identification), law enforcement (with proper identification), and other first responders (EMT, paramedics, and firefighters, with proper identification).

One discounted ticket per valid ID. Valid credentials / identification must be presented at check in to receive our heroes discount.

What time should we arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early. This will allow for enough time to complete the check in process. Our tours begin promptly, if you are late for your start time you will be left behind.

Are lockers available for personal items?

Yes! We do have free lockers available. Items that can be easily lost or dropped are encouraged to be left behind. No items that can not be tethered will be allowed on the course, this includes: loose hats, purses, beverages/snacks (not in a backpack).

Is there a fee for spectators?

NOPE! Spectators are completely free. We have a large elevated deck with plenty of seating, fans (with misters), and tons of games!

RIDER REQUIREMENTS

Are there restrictions on who can ride the zipline?

Riders are required to be between the weights of 45-280 lbs. This is due to physical requirements of the zipline itself. Though we wish we could accommodate everyone, physics makes this an impossibility! We also recommend due to the nature of the zipline, that riders be in decent physical health.

I am or a member of our party is close to the weight requirements, will they be allowed to ride?

Unfortunately, no. Ziplines are engineered to accommodate a range of weights. Due to safety concerns, riders who do not meet the weight requirements will not be permitted to ride. We do have a beautiful elevated spectating deck that over looks the swamp, a greenspace with picnic tables and games, as well as several animal enclosures that can provide plenty of activities if someone does not meet the requirements.

Do minors have to be accompanied by an adult?

Riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

CANCELLATIONS AND WEATHER POLICY

What is your cancellation policy?

Full refund, zip credit, or reschedule may be completed within 24 hours of your scheduled tour time.

What is your policy on inclement weather conditions?

Zipline tours continue in the rain. In the presence of a lightning threat, we will cancel or postpone the tour. Our guides and office staff monitor weather conditions using radar and weather station detection. If our weather station detects lightning or lightning is seen within 10 miles, or thunder is heard, the tour will delay for a minimum of 15 minutes. If the threat persists, riders will be given the option to reschedule, or receive full refund.

PREPARING FOR YOUR ZIPLINE TOUR

What should I bring?

We recommend checking the weather prior to coming. Certainly dress accordingly, whether it will be cool, hot, or chance of precipitation. Closed toe shoes are required. Crocs, Chacos, five finger shoes or sandals will not be permitted on the course.

Phones, cameras, and go pros are encouraged and permitted HOWEVER please make sure they can be tethered. We are zipping over swamp, anything dropped will be irretrievable. If you would like to bring a go pro, helmets with mounts can be provided upon request!

Slim backpacks or drawstring bags are encouraged to store personal items. Any loose items will not be allowed on the course.

What do I expect?

You will need to be able to climb stairs, and walk short distances. Our course itself is roughly a half mile and includes a 60’ start tower, a spiral tree staircase, and two suspension bridges! It should take guests anywhere from one hour to an hour and a half depending on the amount of riders.

The weather isn’t looking good, can I cancel?

If we have not contacted you yet, the tour is still proceeding as scheduled. Louisiana is known for seasonal squalls, especially in the afternoon. These tend to come and go. You are welcome to cancel or reschedule if it is greater than 24 hours from your scheduled tour time.
